PHACS stands for:
Person-centred Handling and Assessment in Challenging Situations.
We provide training or risk assessments for carers and professionals who work with community groups.
The main areas of work are based around Moving and Handling and Equality and Diversity.We promote the use of person-centred approaches and  want to encourage professionals to work more closely with the disabled person and their families. We want to provide information

The PHACS Approach is  aimed at anyone who is working with disabled children or adults and have to move and handle them safely.It is also aimed a people who have to train or educate others in moving and handling practice. Professionals who are required to complete risk assessments in the community may find the information in this web site to be useful.
